Balassi Bálint ösztöndíjprogram pályázati felhívás a 2026 tanévre! Keresztféléves program.
A Magyar Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium (KKM) ösztöndíj pályázatot hirdet a Balassi Bálint ösztöndíjprogramban a Magyar nyelvi és magyarságismereti képzésre a 2026 tanévre.
Az ösztöndíjprogram célja a Kárpát-medencén kívül, a diaszpórában élő, 18 és 35 év közöti magyar származású, külföldi állampolgárságú fiatalok magyarnyelv-tudásának és Magyarországgal kapcsolatos ismereteinek fejlesztése, elmélyítése.
Az ösztöndíjprogram sikeres megvalósítása érdekében a KKM együttműködik a Magyar Diaszpóra Tanács tagszervezeteivel, különös tekintettel az ifjúsági közösségépítést elősegítő szervezetekkel, így a Külföldi Magyar Cserkészszövetséggel (KMCSSZ).
A képzés időtartama 9 hónap (2026. február-június, 2026 szeptember–december)
A KKM az ösztöndíjas hallgatók számára a képzés időtartamára az alábbiakat biztosítja:
– ingyenes képzés
– 45 000 HUF/hó ösztöndíj (havonta fizetve)
– térítésmentes szálláshely
– diákigazolvány (kedvezményekre jogosít)
– egészségügyi szolgáltatás
A pályázó által viselt költségek:
- az utazás költségei (Magyarországra és vissza)
- nyelvvizsgadíj, nyelviszintfelmérő díj (kb. 45 000 HUF)
- költőpénz (kb 300 USD havonta)
- esetleges egészségügyi biztosítás (nem magyar és nem EU állampolgároknak)
- szükség esetén “képzési célú” vízum beszerzése az illetékes magyar külképviseleten.
A tervezett ösztöndíjas keretszám 20 fő. (elsősorban a déli félteke országaiból)
A pályázat beküldési határideje: 2026. október 16., 24.00 (UTC+1) Magyarországi időpont.

Call for application – Balassi Bálint scholarship programme
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFA) of Hungary, as part of the Balassi Scholarship Programme, announces the call-for-application for Hungarian Language and Cultural Studies in the academic year 2026.
The programme is for individuals of Hungarian descent, aged between 18 and 35, who are citizens and residents of countries outside the Carpathian Basin who wish to strengthen their language knowledge and cultural identity.
In order to successfully achieve the goals of the scholarship program, the MFA cooperates with the member organizations of the Hungarian Diaspora Council, especially with the organizations promoting youth community building, such as the Hungarian Scout Association in Exteris (KMCSSZ)
The duration of the programme is 9 months (February-June 2026 and September – December 2026).
The maximum number of scholarships to be awarded: 20 (mainly from the southern hemisphere).
The scholarship includes:
- full tuition fee
- HUF 45,000/month allowance (to be paid monthly)
- free accommodation in dormitory
- student card (offering discounts)
- basic health assistance
The scholarship does not cover the following expenses:
- travel to and from Hungary
- language exam fee (approx. HUF 45.000)
- spending money (300 USD per months)
- the fee of type „training purpose” visa, if necessary
- health insurance is suggested for non-EU citizens
